Description

The Pioneer Health Centre was opened in 1935. It was designed by Sir Owen Williams and was the second centre opened by Dr George Scott Williamson and Dr Innes Pearse, whose focus was 'prevention rather than cure'. From the 1950s the building was repurposed, including as a college. It was converted into private flats in the late 20th century. It is Grade II* listed.
