Description

The Pitt Street Baths were originally opened as the Royal Naval School of Physical Training in 1910. Despite being named Pitt Street Baths, the building was located on Clarence Street, to the south-west of Pitt Street and on the other side of the recreation ground. It was demolished in 2008. This photograph was published on page 111 of 'Great Lengths: The historic indoor swimming pools of Britain' by Dr Ian Gordon and Simon Inglis.
