Description

The handwritten caption beneath this image reads:

"Secondary School Alnwick, County Northumberland. 1960. First of its type in England. Dark brown local brick and light grey roughcast on common brickwork."

The St. Mary's Roman Catholic Secondary School opened in September 1959 and was demolished around 2010. It is unclear when the school changed its name to Thomas Percy, but this was its name when it was demolished in 2010.
