Description

The handwritten caption that appears alongside this image in the album reads: 'Another feature was the display by the railway cos of Great Britain, marking the centenary of steam transport in this island. It illustrated the great and marvellous progress in the 100 years that had elapsed since the first engine, carriage and line were used, down to the luxury of today. This was fully illustrated by originals.'
