Description

Number 85 was a late mediaeval timber framed building of high quality with a rear wing of similar construction. Its frontage had been refaced in the 18th or 19th centuries and the first floor jetty underbuilt in the 20th century. Number 86 was a three storey house, said to be of the Georgian period, encompassing the entrance to Steel's Court within its south side. These properties were demolished in 1965 to facilitate the comprehensive mixed use development known as Bishop's Walk.
