Description

The image focuses on a fireplace with ornate panels carved with images of fruit and foliage, with small figures between each panel, which are sat cross-legged and have headdresses bearing fruit. The walls behind the fireplace are also panelled, but not carved. The panelling is mostly 17th century, and is found in much of the residential house. The property is now owned and cared for by English Heritage.
