Description

The college was designed by Robert J. Johnson and built between 1887 and 1906 with red brick and ashlar dressings. The side elevation has two storeys with attics, and gabled dormers with flanking ball finials on pilasters. To the right, near the front elevation, is a four storey octagonal tower with ogee domed roof and rectangular stacks either side. There is a round-headed door at the base with a short flight of stps leading to the ground level. In the background is the top stages of the seven storey square tower that sits centrally in the front facade. It has octagonal corner turrets and a pierced parapet between them.
