Description

The building dates to c1900, and is of three storeys and three bays. The first floor has a tripartite window with pediment over the central panel, flanked by two niches with statues within. Above are three small windows separated by two niches with statues, and broken segmental pediment in the centre. The statues have been named "Sir John Marley", "Roger Thornton", "Thomas Bewick" and "Harry Hotspur". There are Boots signs over the tope of each window on the ground floor, on a wide banner above the wimdows, and on a wall-mounted sign on the first floor. In front of the shop are pedestrians and shoppers.
