Description

The hall dates to 1826, built with ashlar by the Duke of Northumberland, and has an octagonal extension fitted on the east side in 1830. The south side has 10 bays, with an arcade of segmental arches, and giant doric pilasters separating the bays on the first and second floors. The top floor has blind windows in all of the bays except to the western-most two bays. The west side of the hall mirrors the south, except that all of the ground and first floor windows and arches are blind, with only two of three upper floor windows intact. The central bay on the west side has a pediment, and over the rest of the hall the parapet is plain.
