Description

The kitchen was remodelled for Bishop Fox in 1499 and designed to service the hall to the north. Fox had three large fireplaces installed, two on the south wall with brick pointed arches and one on the east, with an embattled parapet over the brickwork of the fireplaces. The castle was first established in 1072 by William the Conquerer.
