Description

The church was built c1100 on the site of a Saxon church. It has a west tower of two stages, an aisleless nave with south porch, north and south transepts and a chancel with north vestry. The round-headed chancel arch is Norman and double chamfered, with a pointed arch above. The church is wainscoted, or has wooden panelling, throughout, and has gated pews, most likely Stuart. On either side of the chancel arch are a matching Jacobean-style pulpit and reading desk. The pews, pulpit and reading desk date to 1662.
