Description

A grouping of photographs produced from the H series of negatives. Most of the prints bear the stamp of The Office of Works on the reverse. They show various parts of the site including the domestic range, barbican, and East and West Towers. Most date from the 1920s and many show the castle before or during conservation treatment in the mid 1920s. One set of prints shows the site of the new access road to the South Barbican prior to work commencing. None are duplicated in the Helmsley Castle albums AL0723 and AL0724.
