Description
This series of colour slides shows exterior views of public houses associated with the Allied Breweries group. Before and after views feature prominently, recording external redecoration/renovation undertaken by Allied Breweries. There are also night shots to highlight illuminated pub signage. Some of the external photography was taken for the ‘Allied Exterior Contests’ 1967-1972. There are a small number of slides showing non-Allied Breweries public houses. The photography is generally of a high quality and provides a good thematic record of pubs across the English regions. Probably taken late 1960s/early 1970s.
