The photographs have been divided into sub-series according to the chapters within the manuscript. These are: BPR01/02/01 - 'In High Esteem' - Civic statues and tributes to local individuals and groups BPR01/02/02 - 'Leaders and Commanders' - National and international military leaders and political figures BPR01/02/03 - 'Kings, Queens and Royalty' - Statues and memorials from the time of Alfred the Great BPR01/02/04 - 'The Pioneers' - Statues erected to honour those whose ideas and achievements changed the way we live BPR01/02/05 - 'Literature and the Arts' - Composers, writers and artists BPR01/02/06 - 'In the Name of God' - Statues and memorials dedicated to those who spent their lives in the service of God and to martyrs who died for their faith BPR01/02/07 - 'Aftermath' - Memorials dedicated to members of the armed forces and civilians, who died in war BPR01/02/08 - 'Sport and Entertainment' - Tributes to personalities from the world of sport, cinema and television
