Explore 6 million historic aerial photographs covering all of England.
Steeped in legend, they reveal a history of suspicion and superstition.
The projects will explore untold stories at the heart of our history.
The collection contains eight mounted black and white photographic prints, probably taken by photographer Stewart Bale between 1938 and 1940, and a keyed map of the City of Manchester. The map bears the number of each print, displayed presumably in an exhibition, but 7-10 in the series are missing.
This is part of the Collection: DAC01 David Archer Collection
