Description
Four photocopies of registers relating to the London Midland and Scottish Railway Collection negatives. They record the original number, description, size and date for many of the negatives, including those not held within the archive. They also record for which department of the company the photographs were taken, and any additional notes.
The copies of registers are not complete, however, and there are negatives held in the collection for which we do not have the entries. Where a negative is held by the archive and has been allocated a CC or DD number, this has been recorded next to the original entry (except for those numbered in 2015).
The registers are labelled LMS (L & NW Railway) Crewe 1894; LMS Book I; Book II and Book III.
The original negative registers for the LMS are held by the National Railway Museum.
