Description

A series of twenty colour photographs of F W Woolworth and Co Ltd (Woolworth's) stores. Nineteen of the stores are located in England, and one in St Helier, Jersey. Most were photographed before closure, with a range of fascia sign designs being recorded.

Buildings include the store on Bank Hey Street, Blackpool, which at the time of its opening was the biggest Woolworth's store. Also shown are the large store on Fawcett Street, Sunderland, and the Art Deco facade of the store on St Mary Street, Weymouth, before its reconstruction in the 1980s.
