This collection contains 253 packets of black and white negatives that show images of paintings and other artwork that were being conserved by the Ministry of Works (later Department of Environment) conservation studio in Regent's Park, London.

Archival History

The negatives in this collection were drawn from the Ministry of Works (later the Department of the Environment) Photo Library's "Y-series" negative sequence. The "Y series" sequence contains images of plans, models of buildings, and artwork etc.
