Description

The series contains three sets of photographic prints and postcards arranged alphabetically among index cards. The sets are: British topographical, non-British topographical, and subjects (people, places, architectural features). The postcards were commercially produced, the prints are either taken by Paul Barker or acquired by him from various sources. The British topographical index cards are colour coded and some cards in all sets contain chronological details or chronological links between buildings. The largest groups of prints in the series relates to Byland Abbey (including views of conservation), Dundrennan Abbey, Furness Abbey, York Minster and St. Mary's Abbey, York.
