Description

A series of postcards, both photographic and halftone, showing sites across Sussex, Wiltshire, Somerset, Avon, Surrey, Isle of Wight, Devon, Cornwall, Kent and Greater London. Some of the sites include: Sandwich, Eltham, Bath, Bristol, Ightham Mote, Carisbrooke Castle, Trowbridge, Guildford, Herstmonceux Castle, St Mary Cray, Eastbourne, Brighton and Hove, Battle Abbey, Kilkhampton, Kensington, Clevedon and Sidcup.

The postcards were sorted into envelopes by site, the envelopes were labelled 'Ready for Architectural Diary' with a date. Where the date from which the envelope that the postcard was taken from is not noted on the AMIE record, the envelope has been annotated with the AMIE numbers of the postcards taken from it.

The fronts of most of the postcards have been annotated by Street with the date he purchased the card, and some are annotated with architectural notes.
