Description
The collection contains 359 files containing lists of buildings of special architectural or historic interest arranged by 1974-1992 counties and districts.
This set is complete for rural districts and has erroneously been referred to as the 'Provisional Lists' collection. It contains provisional lists, statutory lists, amendments and spot lists compiled mainly between 1947 and 1976. It is not complete for urban districts and overlaps with another collection of lists held by the NMR (PVL01/02).
A handlist is available.
Archival History
The collection was given to the NMR by English Heritage before 2004.
