Description
The Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England published a volume in 1970 entitled 'An Inventory of the Historical Monuments in Dorset, Volume III, Central'. This volume covered the central part of the county, including Blandford Forum and Milton Abbas.
This set of material comprises handwritten notes with accompanying sketches and photographs, small and large format negatives, and measured drawings that were created by the RCHME in the course of their investigations, and form an extensive resource for the study of historic buildings and monuments in the area.
