Description

The Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England published a volume in 1913 entitled 'An Inventory of the Historical Monuments in Buckinghamshire, Volume II, North. This volume covered the northern part of the county, including the town of Buckingham. An earlier volume, published in 1912, covered the southern part of the county (see RCH01/160).

This set of material comprises handwritten notes with accompanying sketches and photographs, small and large format negatives, that were created by the RCHME in the course of their investigations, and form an extensive resource for the study of historic buildings and monuments in the area.
