Description

English Heritage staff undertook a survey of the earthwork enclosure on Ashtead Common in April 2006, at the request of Richard Massey, Ancient Monument Inspector for Surrey. The results of the survey will provide support for regional casework priorities, inform the Surrey County Archaeologist's ongoing research into the enclosure and nearby villa complex, and feed directly into the Corporation of London's management plan for Ashtead Common.
