Description
An earthwork survey and landscape contetxtualisation were undertaken at the request of English Heritage's Properties Presentation Department and the East of England Planning and Development team, with the aim of improving knowledge of the landscape context of this important medieval castle.
The work was undertaken jointly by EH's Archaeological Survey and Investigation team based in Cambridge and the Properties Presentation Properties Research team in order to increase the appreciation of this relatively little known castle.
The report, number 32-2009, is available on the Research Department Report Series database on the English Heritage website (http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/publications/research-reports/).
