Description

An album of 49 pages containing 115 archive items. The contents are mixed, consisting of a sketch and an engraving, cuttings (textual and illustrations), postcards, prints, and photographs.

The majority of the items show the ruins of Bolton Priory but there are a few views of Bolton Abbey Hall and a series of lithographs showing Bardon Tower, the Valley of Desolation and the surrounding area.

The suggested dates for the items cover the range 1720 - 1980 with a large number dating from the nineteenth and very early twentieth centuries
