Volume: Album on Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal

Description

An album of 80 pages containing 198 archive items. The contents are mixed, while the majority are photographs there are also postcards, cuttings (textual and illustrations), engravings and prints.

The main body of the album is composed of views of Fountains Abbey but at the front and back are several pages of views of other parts of the estate including Studley Park, St Marys Church and Fountains Hall.

The suggested dates for the items cover the range 1656 - 1960 with a large number dating from the later nineteenth and early twentieth centuries
