Description

Album number 34 in Bedford Lemere's scheme, containing 83 photographs of interiors including town houses, hotels (Berkeley Hotel, Tower Bridge Hotel, Hotel Victoria and Hotel Regina, Cimiez, France); ships (SS Avondale Castle and SS Dunolly Castle); showrooms (Heal and Sons, Waring and Sons and Liberty and Co.); hospitals (Park Hospital, Lewisham); Her Majesty's Theatre, Haymarket and two London public houses.

Many of the residential subjects are town houses located in central London, but other locations include; Holly Court and Park Grange, Sheffield; Hartopp Grange and Linslade, Birmingham; Eversleigh, Wolverhampton and Studley Court, Stourbridge.

The interiors of several community buildings in the workers village of Port Sunlight on the Wirral are also featured together with photographic records of various interior decorations created to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897.
