The album comprises a bound copy on fabric-backed paper of the 6" OS map of Hadrian's Wall and Vallum, with coloured boundaries. The map illustrates the area of the 1938 Roman Wall and Vallum Preservation Scheme, under the 1931 Ancient Monuments Act.
The album also contains 2 loose items: a typescript giving details of the scheme, and a folded copy of an oversize 1960 map of the Roman Wall, showing Ministry of Works Guardianship areas, scale 1" to 1 mile.
