A file of material created by English Heritage's Scientific Dating Team, consisting of correspondence, notes and details of a sample submitted for radiocarbon dating. The file details that the waterlogged wood sample was from a base deposit associated with a Roman site in the vicinity, which was set within a landscape of river channels.
