Description

A file of material created by the English Heritage Scientific Dating Team containing correspondence and radiocarbon dating documentation, which pertains to an Early Medieval Bloomery situated in Ashdown Forest. The sample is described within the file as a soil/charcoal mix. The site lies to the East of the A22 road and was discovered during the laying of a water main from Horsted Keynes to a resevoir on Black Hill.
