Description

A file of material created by the English Heritage Scientific Dating Team containing notes, correspondence, radiocarbon dating certificates and sample detail forms relating to burial activity at the Late Iron Age Settlement and Romano-British Town at Baldock. The file details that the radiocarbon dating was conducted in order to establish the date at which burial activity started at the site. The area is known for ritualistic activity and indeed, the bone submitted for a sampling displayed signs of weathering.
