Description

A virtual file of 27 photographs relating to Coventry City Football Club. The club was formed as Singers Football Club in 1883; the name was changed to Coventry City in 1898. From 1899 until 2005, the club's home ground was Highfield Road. Coventry City then moved to the Ricoh Arena (later known as the Coventry Arena or Coventry Building Society Arena). The stadium at Highfield Road was demolished in 2006 and the site was redeveloped with housing (known as Signet Square) where the former stands once stood, and a grassed play area on the site of the former pitch.
