Description

A virtual file of 10 photographs relating to Ipswich Town Football Club. The club was founded in 1878, initially as Ipswich Association Football Club (AFC), and played at Broom Hill (1878-1883) and Brook's Hall (1884). In the same year they moved to Portman Road, which remains the club's home ground as of 2026. The club was renamed Ipswich Town in 1888 after the amalgamation of Ipswich AFC and Ipswich Football Club, a local rugby club.
