Description

A virtual file of 38 photographs showing The Den (known as The Old Den after 1993). It was the home ground of Millwall Football Club from 1910 until 1993. The club was founded in 1885 and initially played at Glengall Road (1885-1886), Lord Nelson Ground on East Ferry Road (1886-1890), the Athletic Grounds (1890-1901), and North Greenwich (1901-1910). Millwall left the Den in 1993 and moved to a new ground, known as The New Den (later simply The Den), just over a quarter of a mile to the north-west.
