Description

A file containing 77 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Bridge Street, Peterborough. Known as Woolworths store number 62, this was the sixty second branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles. This purpose built store opened in 1915 at 62-64 Bridge Street. In the late 1960s the early 20th century shopfront gave way to a Brutalist style facade, which is now (2022) home to TK Maxx.
