Description

A file containing 11 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on the High Street, Walthamstow. Known as Woolworths store number 70, this was the seventieth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles. The store originally opened at 3-5 High Street in 1916, but this store was demolished to widen the road at the junction of Blackhorse Road. The company built new premises at 115 High Street which opened in June 1972.
