Description

A file containing 13 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on New Broadway, Ealing. Known as Woolworths store number 74, this was the seventy-fourth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles. The store originally opened in 1916 at 11-12 High Street. In 1932 Woolworths moved to new premises at 43-47 New Broadway. This store was renumbered as store number 1149 in around 1987, when it became a trial 'Kidstore'. This file does not contain photographs after this point; see FWW01/01/1149. The New Broadway store closed in 1992.
