Description

A file containing 11 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store at Commercial Street, Newport. Known as Woolworths store number 185, this was the one-hundred and eighty-fifth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles. The store opened in 1925 at 155-156 Commercial Street before moving in 1960 to 147-148 Commercial Street. It closed in February 1989.
