Description

A file containing 39 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store in Doncaster. Known as Woolworths store number 193, this was the one-hundred and ninety third branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles. The store opened in 1925 and remained there until the new Arndale Shopping Centre was built in the 1960s. At this point the store moved to premises at 30-36 Sepulchre Gate, at the main entrance to the Arndale Centre. Woolworths in Doncaster closed in December 2008.
