Description

A file containing 34 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store at Westow Hill, Upper Norwood. Known as Woolworths store number 196, this was the one-hundred and ninety sixth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles. The store opened in 1923 and was commonly known as Crystal Palace Woolworths. It closed in December 2008.

The photographs within the file cover a good range of dates, including showing the shop front still boarded up after the war in 1946.
