A file containing 1 photograph depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on St Mary's Gate, Manchester. Known as Woolworths store number 230, this was the two-hundred and thirtieth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1926. In December 1940 the store at 12-14 St Mary's Gate was hit by a bomb. It was rebuilt in 1948 and reopened in 1951. The store closed in 1972.
