Description

A file containing photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Sandgate Road, Folkestone. Known as Woolworths store number 241, this was the two-hundred and forty-first branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1926. The store originally occupied 14 Sandgate Road; after the 1970s it had expanded into 16 Sandgate Road, only to downsize later into number 14 again.
