Description

A file containing 3 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Dalton Road, Barrow-in-Furness. Known as Woolworths store number 242, this was the two-hundred and forty-second branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1926. The store originally opened at 153-159 Dalton Road. It downsized after 1986, relinquishing a quarter of the shop space.
