A file containing 9 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Chertsey Road, Woking. Known as Woolworths store number 247, this was the two-hundred and forty-seventh branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1927. The store originally opened at 51-53 Chertsey Road; it was extended in the 1950s to include numbers 51-57. Woolworths closed in 1992 and moved to the Peacocks Shopping Centre as a new store (store number 1179).
