Description

A file containing 39 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on the High Street, Strood. Known as Woolworths store number 256, this was the two-hundred and fifty-sixth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1927. The store originally opened at 69 High Street. By the 1980s it had been extended to include numbers 69-73.
