Description

A file containing 10 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Balham High Road, Balham. Known as Woolworths store number 305, this was the three-hundred and fifth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1928. The building was damaged by a bomb in the Second World War. The store was converted into a 'general store' in 2000, and was renumbered as store 2002. It closed in January 2009.
