Description

A file containing approximately 15 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store in the Market Place, Durham. Known as Woolworths store number 321, this was the three-hundred and twenty-first branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1928. A new store, with a white Portland stone facade, was built on the site between 1959 and 1961. It closed in December 2008.
