Description

A file containing 8 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on Campbell Place, Stoke-on-Trent. Known as Woolworths store number 324, this was the three-hundred and twenty-fourth branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1928. The store originally opened at 6-8 Majestic Buildings. In 1957 Woolworths acquired the Majestic Cinema at 12-14 Campbell Place. The cinema was demolished and a purpose-built store opened on the site. The store closed in December 2008.
