Description

A file containing 10 photographs depicting the F W Woolworth and Co store on the High Street, Mexborough. Known as Woolworths store number 332, this was the three-hundred and thirty-second branch of Woolworths to open in the British Isles, in 1928. The store originally opened at 42 High Street (renumbered 42-44 High Street by 1958). In the 1960s Woolworths moved next door to 46-50 High Street, and later extended to include 52 and 54 High Street. In the 21st century, the premises had been renumbered 44-54 High Street.
